Problem Definition:
Bharat Heavy Electric limited (BHEL) is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related/infrastructure sector today, with 42,600 highly skilled and committed employees.

BHEL needs an Intranet portal which can manage dynamic content through an intuitive user interface as well as mass storage capability. The portal is also required to target content to various audiences based on different sets of rules, to automatically facilitate intuitive navigation through the website while tailoring the navigation to the individual user and to deliver comprehensive site content management and structural facilities. BHEL also needs a Balance Score Card application involving complex ad-hoc workflows.

Solution Framework:
The Intranet has been developed entirely on the MOSS (Microsoft Office Share Point Server) 2007 platform. Info Path 2007 was used for designing the forms and work flow designed in Microsoft Office Share Point Designer 2007 and Visual Studio 2008.
