Eicher Intranet Portal | Enterprise Business Workflows - built using MOSS 2007 and BizTalk Server 2005

Problem Definition
Eicher Group is one of the best known names in the world market, with businesses diversified into design & development, manufacturing and local/ international marketing of Trucks & Buses, Motorcycles, Automotive Gears and components. Eicher has multiple business units each having operations at multiple locations across India. It has around 2500 employees located in 4 manufacturing facilities and 49 marketing & area offices all around India.

In order to manage such large set up Eicher wants all its BU websites i.e Corporate Office, Eicher Motors, Royal Enfield, Eicher Engineering Components and Eicher Engineering Services) to be located in the same place-- the Intranet. In addition to this, they want team rooms-for project plans & document sharing for projects-document libraries, surveys, polls, Employee Skill search, e-learning, news sections, fun zone etc.

They also want Workflow Applications for their Appraisal Process, Leave Management System, Employee Salary Management, Travel Management System, Employee Joining & Separation System, Purchase Order & Payment Request System, Employee Medical Insurance System & Employee Stationary & Consumable Request System.

Solution Framework
The entire solution has been developed on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 platform. All processes have been implemented using Microsoft InfoPath 2007 & Forms Services. The following processes have been implemented. All these applications also support offline approval and delegation. The portal is completely integrated with SAP using BizTalk Server 2006 R2.
